Histogram & Clipping Inspector

Read the RGB histogram, median luminance, dynamic range and exactly how much is clipped at each end.

The histogram is computed on linear light and then mapped back for display, with the three channels drawn in additive blending so overlaps read as white — the same convention professional tools use.

Clipping percentages matter more than the shape. Highlights that are already at 255 have lost their information at capture; no amount of editing recovers it, and any subsequent brightening only spreads the flat white further. Knowing the number before you start editing tells you whether a frame is salvageable.
